The Apple Lift series offers an innovative and effective anti-aging treatment based on a groundbreaking biotechnological development – a stem cell culture derived from a rare and extinct apple variety (Malus Domestica), which won the international innovation award at the Cosmetic Raw Materials Exhibition.

Stem cell research is one of the most fascinating fields in modern biology, as stem cells essentially serve as the body’s tissue repair system. They have the ability to renew and divide repeatedly without losing their original characteristics, and can even differentiate into different cell types as required by the tissue.

In 2008, a cosmetic active ingredient based on plant stem cells – PhytoCellTec™ – was launched for the first time. This ingredient was developed by the Swiss biotechnology company MIBELLE BIOCHEMISTRY using a rare and extinct apple variety, winning first prize for innovation at the annual raw materials exhibition.

Clinical studies have shown that using the apple stem cell extract for 28 days significantly reduces wrinkle depth and restores a more youthful appearance to the skin.

What are stem cells? Basically, a stem cell is very similar to other cells in the body except for one key difference: it can activate a much larger portion of its genome (its gene repository). Embryonic stem cells can develop into any cell type in the body. Adult stem cells, like those found in the skin, can only develop into cells of the specific tissue where they reside – their role is to renew and repair it.

How does it work? During aging, the number of stem cells in the basal layer of the epidermis decreases, and their vitality is impaired. These stem cells (about 2–7% of all the cells in the layer) play a crucial role in the continuous renewal of the skin and damage repair.
